She was predeceased by: her father Richard Ruggs. She is survived by: her mother Pamela Kurzatkowski (Leonard); her husband Michael Dekun; her daughters, Emma and Abigail; her siblings, Megan Rhodes (Kyle) and Stephen Ruggs; her grandmothers, Betty Hanback and Susan Kurzatkowski; and her nieces and nephews, Karmon, Kendall, Bentley, Isiah, Tylan, Alayna, Ethan and Layla. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home (32814 Utica Rd, Fraser, MI 48026). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
