He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, I. D. Stewart and Patricia Stewart; his wife Susan Stewart; his daughters, Sarah Plevinski (Paul) and Katelyn Stewart; his grandchildren, Ivan, Mei and Josie; and his sister April Lapansie (Martin). He was also cherished by numerous nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
