He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Lawson and Henrietta Lawson (Toland); his wife Emma; and his daughter Susan Dunsmore Kimberly (Joseph). He is survived by: his children, Laura Fournier (Gerry), Christine Murphy (Chris), Debra Plotkowski (Bryan) and Kevin Lawson (Connie); his son-in-law Jeff Allor; his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Matt, Jeffrey, Lauren, Amanda, Daren, Lisa, Kyle, Keith, Frank, John, Ryan, David, Jennifer, Jon, Cindy, Tony, Emily, Richard, Kevin, Leah, Andy, Alyssa and Patrick; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Mitchell, Andrew, Emma, Chase, Mackenzie, Abigail, Nonie, Evelyn, Nick, D. J., Briella and Kayla; his sister Sue (Rick); his children, Tony (Sally Ann), Jesse, Willard and Jeanette Lawson; and his siblings-in-law, William Alexander (Edwina), Christine Vernier (Mike) and LuAnn Alexander. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
