She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold VanWagner and Marie VanWagner; her husband Herbert J. Kauffman; her daughter Rebecca; and her siblings, Marie and Fred.

She is survived by:, Marie Lee, Dorothy Nelson, Barbara VanWagner, Henry VanWagner and Fred VanWagner. She is also survived by nine children.
