She was predeceased by: her brother Harry Pfanz. She is survived by: her husband Ward Thomas; her daughter Sally Kaufman (Don); her son-in-law Charles Gale; and her children, Rebecca Gale, Jennifer Mills (Chip), Laura Kovtun (Charles), Emily Thomas, Christopher Thomas (Marlene), Kurt Thomas (Denise) and Betsy Thomas (Adrian Wenner). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family suggests that friends make a donation to their favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
