He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria; and his siblings, Emily Rogow (late Sonny) and Edie Albion (late Ira). He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Salzbank (Robert) and Shelby Solomon (Teresa); his grandchildren, Jacob Solomon, Anna Solomon, Joshua Solomon, Jacquelyn Salzbank and Lena Salzbank; and his siblings, Bob Solomon (late Marilyn) and Marilyn Ehrlich (late Howard).

I have wonderful memories growing up in OP and how we used to enjoy hanging out w Shelby, Steph , Gloria and Ernie...He was a great friend to our family , especially my late Dad and I will never forget him. My favorite story was his red caddy convertible and his car phone...on our way to Candy Cone for ice cream after a ball game, he would talk on the phone but I found out years later, it was never connected!
