He was predeceased by: his sister Lenore Shapiro; his brothers-in-law, Robert Nathaniel Smith and Eugene Michael Towbes; and his parents, Dr. Simon Farbman and Edith Farbman.

He is survived by: his spouse Suzy Farbman; his sons, David Farbman (Nadine) and Andrew Farbman (Amy); his grandchildren, Hunter, River, Fischer, Beau, Alexis, Camryn and Lindsay Farbman; his siblings, Anita Marcus and Martin Mendelson; his sister-in-law Anne Smith Towbes; and his cousin Judie Koploy. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
