It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex James Szmatula of Franklin, Michigan, who passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 34, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent-in-law Usha Vyas. He is survived by: his spouse Ankita Vyas Szmatula; his parents, Marek Szmatula and Marsha Szmatula; his parent-in-law Pramod; his brother Ben Szmatula; his siblings-in-law, Saurabh and Garima Vyas; and his pet Misiu. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
