He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Kristen Burdett (Jay), Margot and Eric (Kelly); his grandchildren, Jesse (Zach), Cameron, Morgan (Billy), Jackson, Nate, Seth and Jake; his sister Gretchen; and his goddaughter Dawn Hall. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests, memorial donations to Advocates for Benzie County, a local non-profit, Richard's most recent passion, that supports efforts for affordable housing.
