He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lavergne Ann Kress and Jerome J. Schmitt, Sr.; his siblings, Marylyn, Richard, Robert, Janet and William; his former wife Mary Elizabeth Sullivan; his grandchildren, Mathew, Diane Fryling, Kristopher, Colin Walker and Rebecca Mary Schmitt; his children, Tiffany, Tyniece and Tyrone Burns; and his wife Dolores Carter Bigelow.
