He is survived by: his wife Gloria Helen Fluette; his sister Cynthia Ptak; his children, Kristine Ptak and James Ptak, Jr.; his grandchildren, Olivia, Micah Ptak, Madeline, Charles Jr. and Isaac Petoskey; his niece Melissa Crawford; his nephew Jason Crawford; and his great-nephew Mason Crawford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family. If a donation is specified as a charitable, the family will donate to local cause (s) close to James's heart.
