He was predeceased by: his former wife Susan; his daughter Debbie; his siblings, Rod Varney and Carol McKee; and his stepgranddaughter Jessica Gerard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Ann May (Steve), Jennifer Lynn Thompson (Glen) and Linda Sue Velandra (Brent); his stepsons, Gar Gerard (LeAnn), Kirk Gerard and Eric Gerard; his grandchildren, Daniel May, Emily May, Brian May, Matthew Thompson, Kyle Hauck, Blake Velandra, Aleah Velandra and Allie Velandra; his stepgrandchildren, Megan Evans, Melinda Gerard, Grace Gerard and Samantha Gerard; and his siblings, Doris McKenzie, Kate Sorensen and Doug Varney.
