She is survived by: her parents, Kathleen Leach (Kendall) and Clifford Hacker of Millington; her sister Carrie LaRose of Saginaw; her half-sister Brittany Powell (Matthew) of Hopkinsville, KY.; her children, Jeffrey Hitsman (Gina Martinez), BreAnna Hacker and Darrin Frechette Jr. (Karrie Prudhomme); and her grandchildren, Sophia Hacker, Lilah, Korbin Hitsman Vayda, Salem, Presley, Bradley and Amarra Frechette.

Shawn chose to donate her body to science in hopes of getting one step closer to a cure.
