He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Schaeff and Anna Schaeff; his brothers, Arnold Schaeff and Hildred Schaeff; and his brother-in-law Gerald Gugel.
He is survived by: his wife Bette Gugel; his sons, Keith Schaeff of Frankentrost, MI and Kurt Schaeff of Reese, MI; his grandchildren, Casey and Evan Schaeff; his siblings, Ernest Schaeff Jr. (Arlene), Wilmer Schaeff (Marie), Loraine Kueffner (Fred) and Arlene Stern (Gene); and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Schaeff and Karen Gugel.
