With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fred Smith of Frankenmuth, Michigan, who passed away on June 3, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smith and Susanna Smith (Dettweiler); and his siblings, Alvin, Eldin, Roy, John, Bill, Richard, Mabel Smith, Rose Lehner, Mary Smith, Pearl Venema and Ruth Boggs.

He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Smith of Frankenmuth; his children, Michael (Cindy Smith), Richard (Sue Jane Smith) and Carol (Alan Goff); his grandchildren, Gerald, Stacey Goff, Bryan, Sarah Goff, Amy, Mike Livorsi, Aaron, Kala Smith, Keri, Paul Dumond, Ashley and Dave Hundey; and his brother Don (Carol Smith) of Caro. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Frankenmuth United Memorial Church Fund.
