Floyd Schmitzer Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Schmitzer and Gretchen Schmitzer (Rupprecht); his former wife Joan Jones; his siblings, Alois "Chip", Kurt and Delphine; and his daughter-in-law Tammy.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy H. Jorgensen; his children, Floyd Alan Schmitzer (Lynn), Allen Schmitzer (Renee), Joel Schmitzer (Rose), Brian Schmitzer (Marlene), Duane Schmitzer and Linda Schmitzer; his stepchildren, Robert Jorgensen (Anne), John Jorgensen (AnaMari), Janine Livingston (Dana) and Lynda Licastro (Mike); his grandchildren, Erin Paulson (Dan), Nick, David (Heather), Michael (Rachel), Corey (Abby), Kyle, Brandon (Jennifer) and Amanda (Michael); his stepgrandchildren, Emily (Jeff), Adam (Shannon), Ian, Jenna, Kelly, Sophia, Eric and Nina; and his sisters, Melna and Shirley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (1200 E Genesee St, Frankenmuth, MI 48734).
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society.
