She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Garchow and Esther Fritz; her husband Russ Ahejew; her siblings, William, Joe, Jerry Fritz, Donna Hare, Esther Lane and Mary Vetterle; and her brothers-in-law, Gregory Ahejew, Dan DeCaire and Daniel Vetterle.
She is survived by: her children, Maria Coates (Doug), Gregory (Megan) and Paul (Tina); her grandchildren, Jacob, Isabella and Giovanni; her siblings, Carol Racine (Rob), Christine DeCaire, Alisa "Leona" Yearwood (Allen) and Matt Brown (Diane); and her brothers-in-law, Pete Ahejew (Sandy) and Alex Ahejew (Nancy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
