She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter Gates and Mae Gates; her husband Elton Copeland; her brother Richard Gates; her son Brian Copeland; her granddaughter Krista Konopaska; her stepgrandchild Parker Wellinger; her sister Charlene Heard of Howell; her children, Marshall Copeland of Fowlerville, Cheryl Sanchez of Perry and Teresa Slayden (Edward) of Fowlerville; and her daughter-in-law Annette Copeland of Laingsburg. She was also cherished by 7 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 10 ½ great grandchildren, and 6 step great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
