He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Sue Whitt; his parents, Jesse Whitt and Florence Una May Whitt; and his brothers, Ralph Whitt, Willard Whitt, Don Whitt and Dean Whitt.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Whitt Jr., Virginia Whitt, Donald Whitt, David Whitt (Elizabeth) and Daniel Whitt (Nichole). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
