He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leslie Lockwood and Olga Lockwood (Lott); his wife Frances J. "Janey" Kelley; his children, Tom Lockwood (Vicky) of Byron, Mike Lockwood (Ruthann) of Fowlerville and Terry Hatt (Mark) of Fowlerville; and his sister Barbara "Bonnie" Cross (Lockwood). He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

“May 9th , during my phone conversation w/ Deacon Dennis, I praised the many longtime followers and supporters of Cohoctah's Calvary Church built and founded by Pastor Allbright and referenced especially Bob as one of the finest supporters,.. closing w/ "By the way how is Bob? ". I met him back in 1976 and experienced his professionalism and honesty in his profession then later working at McPherson's Homecare met Frances who always gave a smile too. Sunday placed a Peach Blossom on their graves”
