She was predeceased by: her brother Fred Carter Jr.; her husband Howard "Smitty" Smith; and her son Kevin. She is survived by: her brothers, Marvin Carter and Dennis Carter (Gwen); her children, Dave, Jeffry (Bernadette), Gerri (Terry), Stephen (Tina), Christopher and Cathleen; her grandchildren, Tanya, Amanda, Ashley, Shannon, Michelle, Colin, Laura, Stephanie, Bryan, Jennifer, Ryan, Devin, Serena, Cassandra, Evan and Alyssa; and her great grandchildren, Jericho, Elijah, Isabelle, Jack, Elle, Taylor, Rebecca, Hannah, Ian and Winnifred.
