He is survived by: his wife Kathy Gierlach; his sons, Jim Gierlach, Jeff Gierlach and Steve Gierlach (Shannon Gierlach); his grandchildren, Katie Gierlach and Daniel Gierlach; his sister Elaine Lajiness; and his great-nephew Justin Slowik.
