The memory of Roman Alfred Koenigsknecht of Fowler, Michigan, who passed away on September 18, 2024 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Koenigsknecht and Margaret Koenigsknecht (Thelen); and his brothers, Leo Koenigsknecht and Arnold Koenigsknecht. He is survived by: his children, Carol (Jim Maddox), Diane (Steve Wheeler), Thomas (Sandy Koenigsknecht), Daniel (Janet Koenigsknecht), Denise (Rick Smith) and Debra (Chris Stellwag); his sister Agnes Keilen of Westphalia, MI; his siblings-in-law, Linda, Paul Armbrustmacher, Janice, Alvin Feldpausch, Mildred Droste, Phyllis Thelen and Genevieve Martin; and his children, William Koenigsknecht, Helen Stump, Martha Koenigsknecht, Louise Burns, Rose Smith, Benno Koenigsknecht, Nicholas Jr. Koenigsknecht, Susann Stump, Frank Koenigsknecht, Mark Koenigsknecht and John Koenigsknecht. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (11112 W Ionia St, Fowler, MI 48835). A rosary was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church (545 N Maple St, Fowler, MI 48835). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at the Most Holy Trinity Cemetery (545 N Maple St, Fowler, MI 48835).
