He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Koenigsknecht and Margaret Koenigsknecht (Thelen); and his brothers, Leo Koenigsknecht and Arnold Koenigsknecht. He is survived by: his children, Carol (Jim Maddox), Diane (Steve Wheeler), Thomas (Sandy Koenigsknecht), Daniel (Janet Koenigsknecht), Denise (Rick Smith) and Debra (Chris Stellwag); his sister Agnes Keilen of Westphalia, MI; his siblings-in-law, Linda, Paul Armbrustmacher, Janice, Alvin Feldpausch, Mildred Droste, Phyllis Thelen and Genevieve Martin; and his children, William Koenigsknecht, Helen Stump, Martha Koenigsknecht, Louise Burns, Rose Smith, Benno Koenigsknecht, Nicholas Jr. Koenigsknecht, Susann Stump, Frank Koenigsknecht, Mark Koenigsknecht and John Koenigsknecht. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
