He is survived by: his children, Tricia Goerge (Scott) of Fowler, MI and Tom Thelen (Kara) of Fowler, MI; his grandchildren, Cole, Zach, Taylor, Chase, Kaileigh, Caden and Charlie; his siblings, Alan Thelen, Leon Thelen, Dale Thelen (Barb), Dan Thelen, Mary Ann Schneider (Mike), Linda Hoppes and Sharon Droste; and his sister-in-law Barb Thelen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (11112 W Ionia St, Fowler, MI 48835). A rosary was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church (545 N Maple St, Fowler, MI 48835). A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at the Most Holy Trinity Cemetery (545 N Maple St, Fowler, MI 48835).
