He was predeceased by : his parents, Byron Barnard and Marcella Barnard (Deneen); and his siblings, Robert Barnard, Ronald Barnard and Shirley Staley.

He is survived by : his sons, Byron Barnard (Amanda) and Roy Barnard (Tina); his grandchildren, Hanna Willbanks, Marcella Barnard, Kacie Barnard, Zachary Barnard, Fontana Middleton (Jeffery), Jordan Webb and Madison Barnard; his great grandchildren, Dawson Barnard, Myla Middleton, Isabella Middleton and Emilee Middleton; and his sister Charlotte Wurm. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
