He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie McDonald and William McDonald Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Debra E. Putze; his children, Tammy DeHate (Lawrence), Angie Eagen (Marty), Barry Zweng-Putze (Alican) and Matthew Putze; his grandchildren, Lawrence DeHate (Kayla), Trevor DeHate, Carra Eagen, Natalie Eagen, Noah Walsh, Noah Putze, Ethan Putze and Kaylie Putze; his great grandchild Peyton DeHate; and his siblings, Phyllis Fletcher, Gary McDonald (Shawn) and Doug McDonald. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
