He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Sopha; his son Billy; his great grandchildren, Josie and Rory; his children, William Staples II (Christi), Sarah Merical (Bill) and Stephanie Shank (Mike); his grandchildren, Jordan Dennison (Haley), Zachary Staples, Joshua Staples, Brandon Shank and Braylie Shank; his siblings, Marsha Stonehocker and Lynn Staples (Cathy); his sister-in-law Nancy Goldman; his nephew Todd "T. C." Goldman (Reggie); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Benjamin, Grace, Sadie Sopha and Max Sopha. He is also survived by his son and grandsons.
