He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Olney and Agnes Olney; his spouse Jean Edith Kelly; and his brother Edward Olney. He is survived by: his children, Kim Marie McKenzie (Daniel) and Walter Allen Olney (Mary); his grandchildren, Melissa Zweng (Corey), Heather Smith (Jason), Rebecca Underwood (Elijah) and Kevin Olney; his great grandchildren, Cody, Kyle Zweng, Atreyu Smith and Bryson Underwood; and his siblings, William Olney (Arlene) and Maureen Keeney (Fred).

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
