He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Swartz and Theresa Swartz. He is survived by: his wife Grace Kowalski; his children, Mark Swartz (Donna), Susan Grzybowski, Barbara Swartz, Sheila Fortuna (Joseph) and Julie Kusey (Mark); his grandchildren, Kenneth Swartz (Marissa), James Swartz (Heather), Paul Grzybowski, Jeffrey Grzybowski (Melissa), Kristen Grzybowski, Matthew Kurek (Jenny), Emily Kurek and Elizabeth Kusey; his great grandchildren, Sara, Olivia, Joshua, Skylar, Kyra (Jennifer) of Sydnee, TJ, Dylan, Breanna, Brayden, Ashlyn, Carl and Cameron; and his sister Geraldine Baker (Robert).
Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy.Memorial contributions to the family will be used to thank Richard's caregivers and medical staff.
