He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gilbert and Lucille Gilbert; his wife Jane Duff; and his brothers, William and Robert Gilbert.

He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Doris Meade and Joan Pawloski (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Clair Art Association or the Port Huron Yacht Club Memorial Fund.
