He was predeceased by: his mother Hilairia Wilson; and his sister-in-law Debbi Jones. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Brown (Jones); his children, Heather Woolvett (Tim), Amelia Havens (Nate) and Jeremy Brown (Brittany); his siblings, Allen Golightly (Beverly) and Helen Golightly; his brothers-in-law, Jack Jones (Suzanne) and Timothy Jones (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Kyleigh, Jacob, Zachary, Matthew, Brayden, Jameson, Aubrey, Freyja, Thalia, Roy, Dom, Maddy, Ben, Daisy, Easton, Greyson, Addy and Blakely. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Nelson's family asks that you consider honoring his memory with a donation to the Disabled Veterans of America (DAV) or McLaren Hospice.
