He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Diebold and Mary Frances Diebold; his sons, John Thomas, James Stephen and Steven Michael; his brother Jody (Marty); his brother-in-law Dick (Rosalie Bandy); and also Von.
He is survived by: his wife Ruthann; his daughters, Julie M. Joyner and Jill L. Thomson (Art); his grandchildren, Michael, Sean McManaman, Jonathan Bevier and Thomson; his stepgrandchildren, Gordon (Heather), Chris, Dan and Kelly; and his siblings, Jeanne Komornik (Ron) of Virginia Beach, Jack (Joann) of Rochester and Jere (Nancy) of St. Clair.
