He is survived by: his wife Beverly Johnson; his children, Cheryl Lee (John), Gene Smith Jr. (Sue), Mark Smith (Dana), Dove Taylor (Dave) and Colleen Smith; his brothers, Paul Smith and Erwin Smith (Deborah); and his sister-in-law Carol Smith. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
