He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen Ernst and Frederick Ernst Sr.; and his sister Karen Rich. He is survived by: his wife Debra J. Meyer; his son Charles Ernst (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Clarence Carroll IV (Katie), Zachary Carroll (Sarah), Desiree Clever (Jeremy), Tyler Ernst, Brendon Ernst (Sarah) and Paige Ernst. He is also survived by 7 great granddaughters.
