He is survived by: his wife Betty McPherson; his children, Iverna Dougan and Vernon W. Preston; his grandchildren, Kelley Herber (Henry), Vernon P. Preston (Amanda), Susan Meddaugh and Oscar Dean; his great grandchildren, Ashley Lonsby (Cory), Henry Johnathan Herber (Kaitlyn), Taylor Herber and Matthew Herber; his great great grandchildren, Gage Sawyer and Freya Lonsby; and his siblings, Beulah Robinson, Leonard Preston, Edith Teichow (Vernie) and Gloria Stephens.
