He was predeceased by: his parents, Enoch Sturgeon and Ellen Sturgeon (Dolliver); his children, Michael Sturgeon and Katrina Bryan; and his sister Doris Canfield.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Ellen Anderson; his children, Kim Marie Ouimet of Flushing, Kelly Lee Sturgeon of East Lansing and Tony Bryan of Flushing; his grandchildren, Gabi, Morgan, Samantha (Shane), Amanda, Keith and Jacob; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Emma and Reagan; and his siblings, Tommy Sturgeon (Debbie) of Burton and Sue Brady (Jerry) of Fenton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
