He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Echlin and Marian Echlin; his sister-in-law Betty Echlin; his niece Ellen Murphy; and his close friend Michelle Finch.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly McEnrue (Daniel) of Flushing, Bethany Vanitchtheeranont (Mitri) of Champaign and Walter Echlin of Grand Blanc; and his siblings, Carol Murphy of Utica, Dan Echlin of Mt. Morris, Michael Echlin (Jennifer) of Flushing and Donald Echlin (Twinkle) of Davison. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
