He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Blair and Lucille E. Blair; his wife Beverly; his sister Doris Parker; and his brother-in-law Steadman "Ted" Parker.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Shaw (John), Scott Blair (Suzette) and Susan VanKersen (George); and his grandchildren, Vincent Shaw (Kate), Andrew Shaw, Margaret Shaw, Renee McConahy, Christopher Guertin (Monika), Benjamin Guertin (Satonka), George VanKersen, Jr. and Megan VanKersen. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
