She was predeceased by: her parents, Irving J. Grass and Augusta Grass; her son Michael Vater; and her brother Dr. Lawrence Grass. She is survived by: her husband Robert H. Darnton of Flushing, MI; her children, Ilene Vater of Key West, FL, Suzan Berry (Steve), Daniel Vater of New York, NY, Robert H. Darnton III and Guinevere Chan of Hermosa Beach, CA; her granddaughter Brittany Moore (Andrew); and her great grandchildren, Lucca Moore of Livonia, MI. and Gannon Moore of Livonia, MI..
