He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane Johnson and Evelyn Johnson (Scott); his wives, Sharon Zuidema and Elizabeth Archer; and his siblings, Donald Johnson and Susan Hawkins.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Johnson (Sue), Eric Johnson, Dana Newvine (Mark) and Darrel Johnson; and his grandchildren, Megan Nokielski (Jim), Brian Johnson, MacKenzie Johnson, Carter Johnson, Jessica Johnson and Grace Newvine. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
