He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Howald and Margaret Howald (Thomas); his wife Donna Howald; and his brother George Howald. He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Charter (Dale) and Renee Kleinow (Brian); his grandchildren, Zachary Charter, Kaitlyn Kleinow and Kayla Kleinow; his sister Karen Winterlee (Larry); his nieces and nephews, Kim, Robert (Julie), Tami (Matt) and Jennifer (Tony); his sister-in-law Diane Trinkle; and his pet Bud.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North End Soup Kitchen.
