He is survived by: his father Gerald Ward of Oscoda, Michigan; his daughter Jennifer Ward-Kolka; his son-in-law Jimmy Kolka; his pet Zaxxon of Kalamazoo Michigan; his brother-in-law Ken Bissonnette; his niece Brenna; and his nephews, Cory and Brandon.
In place of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society.
