With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Paul Pekala of Flushing, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 10, 2024 at the age of 65. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pekala and Jacqueline Helena Pekala (McCallister); his grandsons, Aaron and Jackson; and his pet Brody.

He is survived by: his daughters, Adrianne Shann (Tim) of Flint, Courtney Pekala (Kori Cole) of Flint and Lindsay Brown (Joe) of Flint; his grandchildren, Kloelyn, Jacob, Brady, Kason, Alexandria, Landon and Kodey; his brothers, Michael Pekala of Grand Rapids and Andrew Pekala (Lisa); and his pet Bailey.
