He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Shields and Edith Shields; his daughter Kimberlee; and his sister Patricia Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kerridge; his children, Kevin Shields (Kristin) and Rachel Velez (Will); his sister Pam Partin (David); and his grandchildren, Trent, Tyler, Kamdin and Kinslee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Per Jeff's wishes, in lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to his grandson's hockey team, the 2011 Flint Jr. Firebirds.
