He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Harbin and Esther Harbin (Kregar); and his brother Bruce. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Hritz; and his children, David (Nancy) of Davison, Dennis (Patricia) of Virginia, Donald (Elizabeth) of Flint, Diane Harbin of Flint and Deborah (Donald White) of Durand. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
