He was predeceased by: his parents, Elek Kovacs and Victoria Kovacs; his siblings, Vickie Michelson (Ron), Barbara Pettey (Jerry) and George Kovacs; his siblings-in-law, Judy Crawford (Jack) and Wess Weaver; and his grandson Wynn Kovacs.
He is survived by: his wife Marti; his children, Angie Chernosky (Jim), Barbara Howell (Greg Mclean), Courtney Kovacs, Elek Kovacs (Ploy) and Melissa Burt (Ty); his grandchildren, Tyler Chernosky (Cierra), Alexa Chernosky, Garrett Howell, Jason Perry, Kinzie, Mallorie and Poppie Burt; his sister Connie Weaver; his sister-in-law Cathy Robinson (Jerry); and his friends, Bill Berry and Jim Jewett. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
