He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bruce Frederick and Katherine Heilbronn (Finch); his wife Gayla Heilbronn; his children, Diane Hendrick (Mark Steffen), Bill Heilbronn (Paula), Lisa Murray (Wayne) and Danelle Duplanty; and his sister Elizabeth Heilbronn. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
