He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Peebles Mackie and William Bain Mackie; his wife Kathryn J. Mackie; and his sister Margaret Ann Breuninger. He is survived by: his friend Rosemary Slobodian; and his children, Robert Mackie (Judy), Janice Smith (Gary) and Gail Hamaker (Tim). He is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
