It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Rogers of Flint, Michigan, who passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Y. C. Starr and Sedalia Starr (Ernestine); her husband Rev. Clarence Rogers; her siblings, Anna Ruth, Lucille Starr, Louise Savage, John Raymond Starr, Cleveland Starr, Dolorse Watson, Yuonnlec Starr and Baby Boy Starr; her uncle Leo Starr; and her aunt Allean Starr Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanetta Starr of Mt. Morris, MI, Dr. Sheila Conway (George) of Canton, GA and Clarence Rogers (Jennifer) of San Antonio, TX; her grandchildren, Monique Wells of Flint, MI, Maurice Wells (Kate) of Flint, MI, Marlon Wells (Saquoia) of Flint, MI, Sharnae Stitt (Jecquay) of Flint, MI, Starr Graham of Atlanta, GA, Jimmie Graham Jr. of Canton, GA and Israel Conway of Canton, GA; her great grandchildren, Melody Wells of Flint, MI, Summer Wells of Flint, MI, Derrick Cade Jr. of Flint, MI, D'Asia Cade of Flint, MI, Arianna Day of Flint, MI, Janille Wells of Flint, MI, Jayden Wells-McGee of Flint, MI, Brendon Wells, Brielle Wells and Jace Wells; her sister Joanne Lawson of Torrance, CA; her nephew Morise C. Starr; her niece Patty Williams; her cousin Earlene Caldwell; and her friends, Ann Ragland, Shirley Lynn, Sandra Williams, Mildred Gray and Rose Chaffer. She is also survived by nieces, cousins.
