He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Gibbs and Madelon Witten; his brother Chris Gibbs; and his pet Rayney. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Gibbs-Castillo of Seattle, WA and Amy Nay of Seattle, WA; his grandchildren, Gabriel, Kaitlyn and Logan Gibbs-Castillo; his sister Deborah Gibbs-Halm of Grand Blanc; his stepmother Clara Gibbs; his nephews, Aaron Halm, Derek Halm and Brian Halm; his close friends, Joe Calcagno, John Zafiroff, Lynn and Ron Stewart; and his pet Hunter.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for his grandchildren.
